In thoughtfully curated Everbrook classrooms, Learning Centers are designed around specific subject areas and encourage children to engage in independent and collaborative learning opportunities.

Every space is welcoming and inclusive. We create a joyous sense of community and connection between children and with their teachers. Discoveries abound in every part of the learning environment. Children love to play and our classroom spaces reward them with opportunities to explore and investigate.

Communication Center

A language-rich environment makes all the difference in early childhood education. In this center, children discover opportunities to tell stories, hold conversations, and explore early writing through drawing and mark-making that helps them express even their biggest ideas with confidence and creativity.

Creation Center

Children will discover age- and content-appropriate artwork and artists through books and images. They will explore the beauty of color, texture, movement, lines, and space, as they use a variety of creative materials to express themselves.

Even simple activities, such as sorting and recognizing patterns, are setting a foundation for future success in math. The tools and resources in this center encourage children to connect mathematical concepts with real-world scenarios through hands-on exploration.

Imagination Center

Pretend play is a major contributor to children’s development of wonder and imagination. Drama, music, and movement are the focus of the activities in this center. These experiences also develop social-emotional skills and children’s self-expression.

Children can experiment with different materials, construct their ideas from the ground up, and discover that there is always more than one way to solve a problem. Everyone needs a break sometimes! And children have earned it when they spend their days engaged in hands-on learning and new skill development. This quiet, comforting spaces provides them with the opportunity to relax and reflect and engage with their emotions.

Investigation Center (Early Preschool to Pre-K)

Discover the spot where curiosity comes to play! Children are introduced to scientific methods as they seek new information through hands-on learning experiences. All their senses are engaged as they conduct experiments, ask questions, and develop important critical thinking skills that will serve them throughout their educational journey.

Natural Learning

Wonder and discovery don’t end at the classroom door. Stepping outside into nature offers children even more opportunities for wonder and discovery and skill development.

Infant Learning Centers

Cozy Area: Children have a safe, quiet place to relax, read books, have conversations, and snuggle together.

Personal Care Area: Care routines allow teachers to engage in conversations and relationship-building with children. Children bond with Primary Care Teachers who provide focused attention.

Exploration Area: Children experiment with new ways of doing things to learn about the world around them. Children manipulate and interact with materials to explore how things fit, move, and balance.

Movement Area: Children can explore by stretching, reaching, crawling, and walking, to develop motor skills, balance, and coordination.
